U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, congratulated Kosovo on its 17th Independence anniversary, stating that the United States has proudly supported Kosovo’s journey to becoming a sovereign, democratic, multi-ethnic, and prosperous state.
“On behalf of the United States of America, I offer my congratulations on the 17th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence – a moment to reflect on the resilience, determination, and aspirations of the people of Kosovo. The United States has proudly supported Kosovo’s journey to become a sovereign, democratic, multi-ethnic, and prosperous state. Peace, security, and regional economic development remain essential for Kosovo’s sustainable prosperity. As you celebrate your independence, we honor the friendship and shared values between our peoples,” the message reads.
President Donald Trump also congratulated Kosovo’s people, emphasizing their resilience and determination.
“Our bonds between our peoples are strong, and we look forward to expanding them, especially through increasing investment opportunities to bring more prosperity to both of our countries. The United States will continue to work with Kosovo to strengthen democratic institutions and promote economic growth through a sustainable and fair business environment,” his message stated.
