A massive Russian drone strike hit Kyiv overnight, leaving two people dead and at least 15 injured, according to Ukrainian officials.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, confirmed that casualties continue to rise as more residents seek medical assistance.

“Unfortunately, the number of people affected by last night’s attack is increasing. Currently, two people have been killed and 15 injured. All are receiving medical treatment,” Tkachenko said on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

The attack caused falling debris and fires across several districts of the Ukrainian capital. Initial reports mentioned 11 injuries, but the figure has since been updated.

On the night of September 7, Russia launched a combined assault using drones and cruise missiles, triggering air raid sirens across Kyiv and most regions of Ukraine.
