A devastating fire broke out Saturday in the village of Sallagrazhdë, Suhareka, engulfing an entire agricultural property and causing massive material damage, Rks News reports.
Sources from the emergency services told Sinjali that the complainant, Ardit Aliaj, informed the police shortly after 14:00 about a fire that had consumed his livestock barn and other parts of his farm.
According to his statements, the fire destroyed the following:
- The animal barn
- Milking and supporting equipment
- An agricultural tractor
- A significant quantity of livestock feed
- A storage facility with food reserves
The estimated damage, as reported by Aliaj, is around €200,000.
Police units, a fire investigation expert, and the duty prosecutor responded to the scene. Under the prosecutor’s order, the case was opened and handed over to the Regional Investigation Unit for further examination.
Due to the emotional distress of the owner and the intensity of the blaze, the official fire report was not submitted immediately.
Investigations into the cause and circumstances of the fire are ongoing.
