Ukrainian authorities have reported a massive overnight Russian assault, targeting nearly every city and town across the country, according to Rks News.

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia launched more than 400 drones and 40 missiles in a coordinated wave of aerial attacks. So far, three fatalities and 49 injuries have been confirmed, but officials warn the death toll may rise.

In the capital city Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that four people were killed due to strikes on civilian buildings. He added that emergency response teams are actively working to extinguish fires and locate survivors amid the destruction.

Russia must be held accountable for this. From the very first minute of the war, they have been attacking cities and villages, destroying the lives of every Ukrainian,” Klitschko declared.

Search and rescue operations are still underway.
