Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent ultimatum to the Kremlin, mocking it as theatrical and irrelevant to Moscow.
Trump had announced a new package of weapons for Ukraine and threatened sanctions against buyers of Russian exports if Russia does not agree to a peace deal for Ukraine. The ultimatum includes a 50-day deadline.
Reacting on X (formerly Twitter), Medvedev wrote sarcastically:
“Trump issued a theatrical ultimatum to the Kremlin. The world is shaking, waiting for the consequences.”
His comment comes amid heightened tensions, as Trump’s pivot toward more assertive policies on Ukraine has drawn attention globally.
