The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met last night with Michael Reiffenstuel, Director for the Western Balkans at Germany’s Federal Foreign Office, accompanied by the German Ambassador to Kosovo, Jörn Rohde.
Discussions focused on bilateral relations and cooperation between Kosovo and Germany, particularly in the fields of economy and foreign investment, the situation in the Western Balkans region, European integration, as well as recent developments in the country and the current political climate.
According to the press release, Kurti highlighted the country’s positive economic performance in the first half of the year, the results of employment policies, and the proper functioning of government institutions and the state, including the protection and welfare of minority communities.
He also expressed concern over the risks posed and challenges caused by disinformation campaigns and fake news, which distort facts and create harmful narratives about democratic societies and institutions.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Mr. Reiffenstuel for his visit and for Germany’s continued support to the Republic of Kosovo.
