Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, during her visit to Kosovo, was received by the President of the country, Vjosa Osmani.

She stated that she appreciates Osmani’s engagement in strengthening Kosovo’s relations with the international community, particularly with strategic partners such as the United States and European Union member states.

“I reconfirmed Albania’s support for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration. Following the decision to lift the restrictive measures, this is the moment for the EU to decide, without delay, to grant Kosovo candidate status. Albania remains unwavering in its active support for Kosovo’s international subjectivity and will continue its diplomatic engagement for its membership in international organizations and its advancement toward the EU and NATO,” Spiropali wrote.

Today, she also met with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca, as well as with the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu.
