The initial hearing has commenced in the Special Department of the Basic Court in Pristina for 53 individuals accused in the Meja Massacre, all of whom are currently at large, KosovaPress reports.
The main suspect is Momir Stojanović, former Head of the Security Department in the Pristina Corps Command and former director of Serbia’s Military Security Agency.
The Special Prosecution charges the accused with war crimes against the civilian population, specifically the killing of 370 Albanian civilians. The Kosovo Special Prosecution filed the indictment for the Meja massacre in December 2023, which was later supplemented in April 2024.
