Former Minister of foreign affairs, Meliza Haradinaj, has responded sharply to NATO Secretary Mark Rutte recent comments regarding last month’s terrorist attack on critical infrastructure in northern Kosovo. During a joint press conference with Montenegro’s Prime Minister, Milojko Spajić, Rutte emphasized that the attack highlighted the fragility of stability in the Western Balkans, framing it as a regional issue rather than an internal one for Kosovo.

Haradinaj pointed out that this statement implicitly suggests Serbia’s involvement, calling attention to the growing security risks posed by the region’s Russo-Serbian axis.

The comment came shortly after Rutte addressed the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, emphasizing the broader regional implications of Russian aggression.
