The word “PEACE”, written in French, English, Arabic, and Hebrew, was projected onto the Eiffel Tower in Paris as a powerful symbolic message calling on the world not to remain indifferent to the tragedy unfolding in the Gaza Strip.

This symbolic act was accompanied by a gathering of activists beneath the iconic Paris landmark, holding signs with the words “Peace” and “Salam”, demanding an end to the violence and expressing support for the Palestinian people.

The Eiffel Tower’s illumination with a peace message represents a powerful expression of international solidarity and a call for global awareness of the ongoing conflict that is claiming thousands of innocent lives.

Since October 7, 2023, according to international reports, over 51,000 Palestinians, the majority women and children, have lost their lives as a result of the Israeli military offensive in Gaza.

In November of last year, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, both accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Meanwhile, Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice, one of the most serious cases ever reviewed by the institution.

This gesture of lighting up the Eiffel Tower aims to encourage reflection and action at a time when voices for peace are more needed than ever.
