The Ministry of Defense has proudly announced the successful implementation of a self-sufficiency concept regarding food preparation and service in the barracks of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK).

According to the Ministry’s statement, this concept has not only saved the state budget but also improved the quality and safety of the food served to FSK personnel.

Colonel Remzije Zeqiraj, the Parliamentary Commissioner for the FSK, confirmed that the food served in accordance with this concept adheres strictly to legal provisions, thereby enhancing security and self-sufficiency across all operational locations and deployments.

Furthermore, it was reported that the number of professional and support staff will increase, with the recruitment of 55 new employees expected to begin shortly. The Ministry emphasized that the development of independent food service capabilities represents a success story in the application of the law, the respect of legal rights for military personnel, and the provision of high-quality meals, comparable to those in NATO member states.
