The Ministry of Economy informs the beneficiary citizens of the subsidy package for efficient equipment that, based on the notification received from the European Union, the procedures for the disbursement of funds are expected to be completed by July 2025. Following this, the Ministry of Economy will execute the payments to the citizens benefiting from this package.
The package is designed to directly support citizens, including low-income families and other vulnerable groups, through subsidies for high-efficiency energy equipment and renewable energy systems in the household sector.
So far, following a regular evaluation and approval process by the relevant committees, 11,188 beneficiaries have been selected with a total value of €4,987,061. These beneficiaries have met all the established criteria and have been notified through the Evaluation Committees.
Meanwhile, 1,459 individual beneficiaries and 10 business beneficiaries are still pending disbursement from these funds, which is expected to be completed by the end of July.
The Ministry of Economy has completed all administrative and technical procedures on time in accordance with Government Decision No. 20/145 of the Republic of Kosovo, which defines the functioning of the Steering and Coordination Committee for implementing the Action Plan to mitigate the socio-economic impact of the energy crisis. The final implementation report has been submitted to the European Union Office in Kosovo on February 28, 2025.
“The Ministry of Economy expresses regret for the delay in disbursing funds to some beneficiaries as a result of this situation,” the Ministry’s announcement concludes.
