The Regional Water Supply Company “Mitrovica” has announced that today there will be a reduction in the water level in the main “Ibër-Lepenc” canal, which may result in water shortages in higher areas of the city and surrounding villages.

The company stated that its teams are on the ground actively monitoring the situation, and that necessary measures will be taken to normalize the supply once the water level in the canal stabilizes.

“We inform you that, according to the notice received from the ‘Ibër-Lepenc’ company, during the course of today there will be a reduction in the water level in the main ‘Ibër-Lepenc’ canal. As a result, the Water Treatment Plants in Shipol and Balinc will operate with reduced production capacity, which may cause temporary water shortages, especially in the higher areas of the city and surrounding villages.
Our teams are continuously monitoring the situation and will take all necessary measures to normalize the water supply as soon as the water level in the ‘Ibër-Lepenc’ canal stabilizes,” the statement reads.
