The protest organized by Albania’s Democratic Party (PD) in front of the Prime Minister’s Office has officially ended, following hours of tension and violent incidents.

After the opposition rally concluded near the Prime Minister’s Office and the Parliament, PD leader Sali Berisha addressed supporters from the party headquarters. He called on police stations to release 25 detained protesters, describing the protest as “the final kilometer toward victory.”

The second nationwide protest organized by the Democratic Party was marked by serious unrest and damage. According to sources cited by Top Channel journalist Dorjana Bezat, 11 police officers were injured after being attacked with Molotov cocktails and are currently receiving medical treatment.

Meanwhile, investigative teams continue to document the violent actions of protesters against police officers, as part of ongoing legal proceedings. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding possible charges.

The incident highlights rising political tensions in Albania and renewed concerns over public safety and political violence during mass demonstrations.
