Ukrainian Armed Forces achieved a significant blow to the Russian military by destroying the Russian surveillance drone Merlin-VR, one of the most expensive drones in Russia’s arsenal, valued at over $300,000.
The operation to down the drone was carried out by the 63rd Mechanized Brigade, in collaboration with Ukrainian artillery units, and took place on the front line in Lyman, an area where intense battles are ongoing between Ukrainian and Russian forces.
Footage captured from the air shows the moment when the Russian drone is hit by another drone at an altitude of several kilometers.
The Merlin-VR drone can reach up to 5 kilometers in altitude and fly for 10 hours, covering a range of 600 kilometers, making it a powerful weapon for monitoring battle zones.
