The Monarchist Alliance POKS and ten affiliated organizations has delivered one of the clearest warnings to date: Aleksandar Vučić’s political grip is weakening, and the numbers prove it.
Their analysis of the most recent local elections in Mionica, Negotin, Sečanj, Kosjerić, and Zaječar shows a dramatic erosion in regime support. The ruling bloc, once arrogant in its dominance, has fallen from 67% to just 55% — a brutal 12-point drop that shatters the illusion of unstoppable power.
Even in the 2023 parliamentary elections, these areas were considered “strongholds,” giving SNS 64%. Today? Those same strongholds are crumbling under voter discontent.
According to the Monarchists’ statement, current projections suggest that SNS and its coalition partners would barely reach 45% nationally, far from the majority Vučić needs to maintain his absolute control over Parliament.
This, they argue, is the real reason he avoids calling national elections — he knows he could lose everything.
Co-chair Vladimir Jelić didn’t hold back. He accused SNS of once again relying on:
- vote-buying networks
- imported and phantom voters
- pressure tactics on citizens
- orchestrated media propaganda
He described the elections as “plain robbery,” insisting they had none of the characteristics of a democratic process.
“These were not elections but a carefully organized scam,” Jelić declared.
He called on the opposition and student groups to stop legitimizing Vučić’s abuses by competing in sham contests and instead to sabotage fraudulent elections entirely — including blocking polling stations in isolated local races.
He also demanded improved electoral conditions and the simultaneous holding of all early parliamentary and local elections, arguing that Vučić must no longer be allowed to manipulate the timing to his advantage.
The message is clear:
Vučić’s regime is bleeding support, losing control, and hiding from the very elections it claims to dominate.
If you want it more aggressive, more dramatic, or more politically explosive, just tell me: “make it harsher.”
