The company “Millennium Team”, which sources of the newspaper “Pobjeda” – the oldest newspaper in Montenegro – suspect is importing military trucks disguised as construction machinery to Serbia through the Port of Bari, known as a company close to the regime. in Belgrade and is often favored in numerous state tender procedures. Serbian media write that the owners of this company – Ivan Boshnjak and Stojan Vujko, are loyal people of the president of Serbia Vučić, but also that they are only formal owners. They also state that Boshnjak and Vujko are close to the brothers Sinisha and Predrag Mali.
For several weeks, more than 20 trucks imported by the Serbian company “Millenium Team” have been stopped in the customs area of the Port of Tivari, for which Pobjeda sources claim that they are military vehicles, i.e. missile carriers from which the trenches have been removed, while the Directorate the customs office informed us that “the vehicles in question have been declared to the customs authority as construction machines”.
Pobjeda sources say that the vehicles were painted yellow on the outside, while the interior remained green, the so-called SMB color used by the military.
The customs department has confirmed for the newspaper that the vehicles are parked in the port of Tivari.
“Regarding the issue related to the vehicles brought into the Port of Tivari, we emphasize that they have not been released into free circulation, nor is there any intention to put them into circulation in Montenegro. The vehicles were sent by sea to the Port of Tivar, to carry out the transit procedure through Montenegro to the final destination,” said the customs’ answers to the Montenegrin newspaper.
They further state that “since the vehicles in question have been reported to customs as construction machinery, the customs authority has requested the submission of additional documentation related to the type of goods and their final purpose”.
In the meantime, according to the newspaper’s information, the vehicles have received permission to continue their journey to Serbia.
The unofficial interlocutors of Pobjeda said that the vehicles were imported from China (Shanghai) by the Serbian company “Millennium Team”.
“When you raised the cabs and looked down – it’s all SMB, military, olive drab. “They will probably buy missile launchers separately or have already bought them,” sources of this newspaper say.
The customs administration has not answered which company imported the vehicles in question and whether it is true that they are military vehicles imported from China.
We also asked them why the vehicles are painted yellow from the outside, if they are military and if they are double vehicles and for what purpose they were imported, but they did not answer those questions either, reports Pobjeda.
“Without any answer regarding the disputed trucks, they left us from the Port of Tivari”.
Meanwhile, the Serbian company “Millenium Team” replied that this company “is in the process of purchasing and importing construction machinery and trucks from the Republic of China for the construction of Expo 2027”.
“It is about 24 machines, of which 20 are already in Serbia, while for the remaining four tractors and cranes we expect that the regular customs procedure, according to the information we receive from our carriers, will be completed in the Port of Bari in the coming days” , this company said on March 29 to the Montenegrin newspaper.
This company has said that “the mentioned device is not for military use, but exclusively for civilian use”.
“Our sources, however, are skeptical and are not sure that the shipment arrived from China at the Port of Tivar for the Serbian market is really civilian,” writes Pobjeda.
“The Montenegrin authorities should have been much more careful, especially given the fact that Serbia is again a threat to the stability of the entire Western Balkans region and the president of this country, Aleksandar Vučić, has repeatedly threatened with additional armaments”, they say sources.
A few days ago, the Serbian president – after appointing Miloš Vučević, president from Vučić’s Serbian Progressive Party – said that Serbia is “in a specific position because” they are “the only ones with neutral military status in this part of the region”.
“We are always ready to defend ourselves, but we do not threaten anyone,” he said, and announced the purchase of new fighter jets, as well as artillery, multi-barrel rocket launchers.
He said that more is being invested in the army than ever before and announced that on April 20, the effect of domestically produced drones will be demonstrated at the training ground in Peshter.
