Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović is visiting Kosovo on an official visit on October 19, prompting the Kosovo Police to announce security measures and temporary traffic restrictions along parts of his planned route.

The Kosovo Police said they would implement security arrangements and manage traffic during the movement of the presidential convoy and throughout Milatović’s stay in the country.

According to the police announcement, the convoy is expected to enter Kosovo through the Kulla border crossing and travel toward Peja, where official activities are scheduled to take place.

“To facilitate the unhindered movement of the convoy along its planned route from the Kulla–Peja border crossing, as well as the activities scheduled as part of the official visit in the Peja region, the Kosovo Police will, where necessary, temporarily interrupt traffic on certain road sections for short periods,” the statement said.

Police warned that traffic could be redirected onto alternative routes while the convoy passes through the affected areas.

The authorities asked residents and other road users for understanding and cooperation, noting that the measures are intended to ensure security and allow the official programme to proceed smoothly.
