The Basic Court in Prishtina found Muhamet Alidemaj guilty and sentenced him to 15 years in prison for war crimes during 1999 in Izbica.
According to the indictment, Alidemaj had participated together with members of the Serbian police and military forces in the killing of Albanian civilians in the Izbica massacre that took place in March 1999, where 130 Albanians were killed and massacred.
In addition, the accused Alidemaj’s detention is continued until the full force of the judgment, but not more than the sentence imposed.
