The Municipality of Prishtina has issued an appeal urging all citizens to exercise increased caution, avoid flooded areas, and report any situations that pose a risk to public safety.

The warning from the capital’s local authorities follows heavy rainfall recorded over the past 24 hours, which has raised concerns about flooding and traffic safety across several parts of the city.

According to an official statement:

“Based on information from the Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute, we inform citizens of the capital that more than 25 mm/m² of rainfall has been recorded in the last 24 hours. Rainfall is expected to continue in the coming days with varying intensity.”

Municipal authorities have called on residents to limit unnecessary movement, remain vigilant, and cooperate with emergency services by promptly reporting dangerous conditions.

The municipality emphasized that public safety remains a priority, as weather conditions may further deteriorate in the days ahead.
