Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP Ganimete Musliu has called for an immediate and powerful public response to the latest developments at the Specialist Chambers, urging citizens to organize non-stop protests both in Kosovo and in Brussels.
In her statement, Musliu warned that remaining silent in the face of perceived injustices is nothing less than complicity, and accused those promoting passivity of indirectly serving the opponents of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
“Every other approach is hypocrisy. Every silence feeds the narrative of those who have always been against the UÇK and what it stood for.”
She criticized narratives aimed at discouraging public reaction, citing phrases like:
- “Stay quiet or you’ll harm their case.”
- “Don’t speak out; it could be seen as interference in the judiciary.”
“These are just tools of suppression, meant to pacify the people and legitimize injustice. We are being told to ‘stay calm’ while our liberators are being politically persecuted.”
Musliu urged citizens to reject fear, reject indifference, and instead stand up for the truth of Kosovo’s liberation war. She emphasized that justice must not be one-sided and that history must not be rewritten behind closed courtroom doors.
“This is the moment for national unity and resistance. Not just in Pristina, but also in front of European institutions in Brussels.”
Her call adds to the growing political and civic pressure on the Kosovo government and international community to reevaluate the Specialist Court’s direction, amid increasing concern that its process may lack impartiality and respect for the historical context of the KLA’s struggle.
