Tonight, the grand commemorative event “Nata e Zjarreve” (Night of Fires) will conclude the nationwide manifestation honoring the Kosovo Liberation Army’s (KLA) legendary Epopee, the heroism of Commander Adem Jashari, his family, and all those who sacrificed their lives for Kosovo’s freedom and independence.
Numerous activities were held on March 5 and 6 to mark the 27th anniversary of the heroic fall of Commander Adem Jashari and his family.
On the third and final day of the Epopee, at 7:00 PM, torches will be lit at the “Adem Jashari” Memorial Complex in Prekaz.
Cultural and Commemorative Events
Following the torch-lighting ceremony, the “Nata e Zjarreve” event will continue at 7:30 PM with a cultural and artistic program at “Adem Jashari” Square in Skenderaj.
Yesterday, President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and Speaker of Parliament Glauk Konjufca paid tribute to honor the 27th anniversary of the Jashari family’s sacrifice, a defining moment in Albanian history.
Other government and local officials also participated in the commemorations, emphasizing the everlasting legacy of the Jashari family and their pivotal role in Kosovo’s struggle for freedom and statehood.
