Troops from the California National Guard arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, U.S. local time.
According to the BBC, the first group reportedly arrived from San Bernardino County.
They are currently gathering outside the central detention facility in downtown Los Angeles, where undocumented immigrants are held after being detained.
The deployment of the Guard to Los Angeles is a decision made by U.S. President Donald Trump following the outbreak of unrest in the area, sparked by raids targeting undocumented immigrants.
