US President Donald Trump met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House.

In the same place where he had a fiery meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, this time, Trump was much warmer.

But what was said in this meeting?

Trump stated that he would like to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and hopes that Russia “will do the right thing” and agree to the proposed 30-day ceasefire. While Putin had previously stated that he was in favor of the deal, Trump mentioned that the Russian president’s statement in his press conference in Moscow was “incomplete.”

Trump told reporters that he had already discussed the specifics with Ukraine, including land and a “large” power plant, but did not mention where he was speaking from.

However, when it came to the topic of Ukraine’s NATO membership, Trump said, “everyone knows what the answer to that is.”

Regarding the minerals deal with Ukraine, which would see the US acquire a portion of their rare earth minerals, Trump said he was not doing this just to get something in exchange for the financial cost of the war in the US, but to “stop the war.”
