In a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, the NATO Secretary General warned that Russia was continuing its “assault on Ukraine,” while increasingly aligning with its allies, China, Iran, and North Korea.

“Following the delivery of munitions and missiles, North Korea has now sent troops to fight and die alongside Russia in its illegal war,” he said. “In exchange, Russia is providing North Korea with financial support and missile technology. This is deeply concerning.”

These missiles, he added, represent a direct threat to the United States, Europe, the Indo-Pacific region, and the broader Euro-Atlantic area.

The NATO chief further highlighted that Ukrainians are being injured and killed every day by Shahed drones “supplied by Iran.”

“At the same time, China is supporting Russia’s economy, enabling its defense industry, and strengthening its global narrative,” he continued. “Russia, in cooperation with North Korea, Iran, and China, not only threatens Europe, but also endangers peace and security here in Europe, as well as in the Indo-Pacific and North America.”

He concluded by emphasizing that support for Ukraine must continue, as “Ukraine is preparing for what could be their harshest winter since 2022.”
