NATO’s Top Allied Commander Holds Talks in Rome, Kosovo Activities Among Key Topics

Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto met with Alexus G. Grynkewich, the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), who thanked Italy for the capabilities and resources it continues to provide to the Alliance.

According to an official statement, the meeting focused on the European continent and NATO’s main operations and activities, with particular attention given to Kosovo and the Alliance’s Southern Flank.

“The discussion also focused on strengthening continental defense beyond the perimeter of the 27 EU member states, as part of the European pillar of the Alliance,” the statement said.

The talks highlighted the continued strategic importance of Kosovo within NATO’s security framework, as well as broader efforts to enhance collective defense and stability across Europe and neighboring regions.
