The vote recount process at Kosovo’s Counting and Results Center (CRC) is nearing completion, according to the latest update from the Central Election Commission (CEC).
As of Thursday morning, 2,244 polling stations have been recounted, representing 87.76% of the total 2,557 polling stations designated for recounting. The process began on January 13, 2026, and has now been fully completed in 30 municipalities.
Election authorities say the recount has progressed without major disruptions, as teams continue to finalize the remaining polling stations.
Next Steps
Once the recount is completed, the announcement of final election results is expected in early February. This will be followed by a review of any complaints or appeals, after which the certification of results is expected to take place.
The recount process was initiated amid allegations of irregularities in several municipalities and has drawn significant public and political attention.
