Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has strongly rejected the recent decision by the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia to recognize the State of Palestine, declaring that there will never be a Palestinian state under his leadership.
Netanyahu: Recognition Rewards Terrorism
In his response, Netanyahu condemned the move, saying:
“I have a clear message for those leaders who are recognizing a Palestinian state after the horrific massacre of October 7: you are giving terror a huge reward.”
He emphasized that, despite both domestic and international pressure, he has consistently blocked what he described as a “terrorist state” from being established.
Expansion of Settlements to Continue
Netanyahu further stated:
“We did this with determination and diplomatic wisdom. In fact, we doubled the number of Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria — and we will continue on this path.”
The term “Judea and Samaria” is commonly used in Israel to refer to the occupied West Bank.
Response Expected After U.S. Visit
Addressing the next steps, Netanyahu announced:
“The response to this latest attempt to impose a terrorist state in the heart of our land will be given after my return from the United States. Wait for it.”
This statement comes as international momentum grows for Palestinian statehood, with more than 145 countries worldwide already recognizing Palestine.
