Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to arrange a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., his spokesperson Omer Dostri said on Saturday.
Dostri mentioned that the meeting will “likely” take place in two weeks, but the plans are still in development.
This effort comes after Israel and Hamas reached a ceasefire agreement regarding hostages, for which both Trump and former U.S. President Joe Biden have sought credit.
Following the release of four female soldiers from captivity on Saturday, the Hostage and Missing Families Forum thanked Trump, stating that “his intervention has been crucial in changing the trajectory of these negotiations.”
