Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he spoke earlier today with U.S. President Donald Trump, emphasizing that Washington sees a potential agreement with Iran as a strategic opportunity.

According to Netanyahu, Trump believes there is “a chance to capitalize on the extraordinary achievements” of the joint U.S.–Israel military operations in order to “achieve the goals of the war” through a deal with Iran.

The Israeli prime minister added that such an agreement would “protect our vital interests.”

Netanyahu also stressed that Israel’s military operations are ongoing, with continued strikes targeting both Iran and Lebanon. He claimed that these actions are aimed at dismantling Tehran’s nuclear program and delivering “heavy blows” to Hezbollah.

He further stated that Israeli forces had recently eliminated two additional nuclear scientists and indicated that more operations could follow, underlining Israel’s commitment to defending its core national interests.

However, earlier reports indicated that Iran’s parliamentary leadership denied any ongoing negotiations with the United States, dismissing such claims as “fake news” intended to manipulate global oil markets.
