The Netherlands has granted Ukraine permission to use the F-16 fighter jets, which it had previously donated, on Russian territory.

The news was announced by the Commander of the Dutch Armed Forces, Onno Eichelsheim.

“We have not imposed restrictions on the use or range of the F-16s, provided that the laws of war are adhered to,” Eichelsheim told the public broadcaster NOS.

Speaking from the United States, General Eichelsheim mentioned that American colleagues have “partially” agreed with his stance.

The Netherlands has donated 24 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
