The Institute for the Crimes Committed During the War in Kosovo (IKKL) has received significant new contributions of documented evidence and testimonies related to war crimes committed during the Kosovo conflict.
Among the latest contributions is Mr. Rasim Selmanaj, a survivor of the Dubrava massacre, who donated three volumes of the book “Lufta për Kosovën” (The War for Kosovo), which contains authentic testimonies of freedom fighters and former political prisoners, along with his own work “Hijet e Thyera” (Broken Shadows), detailing his personal experiences during the massacre.
Veteran journalist Sherif Konjufca, a long-time reporter for RTK and RTSH, also submitted documented evidence of torture he endured as a former political prisoner under the Serbian regime in the 1980s and 1990s.
Former senior official and peace negotiator Edita Tahiri contributed documents and evidence highlighting the period of occupation, the course of the war, and crimes of genocidal nature committed in Kosovo.
In addition, Mr. Gani Neziri, another former political prisoner, submitted his personal testimony describing his hardships and experiences during imprisonment in Gjilan prison.
The Institute expressed deep gratitude to all the contributors, emphasizing that their input is invaluable for preserving historical memory and ensuring a thorough record of war crimes and human rights violations.
The IKKL has once again called on all citizens who possess evidence, documents, photographs, or memories related to the war to join this historic mission and help build a comprehensive institutional archive for future generations.
