The northern part of Mitrovica has once again been covered in graffiti — but this time, the messages carry an unusual tone for the area, focusing on peace, education, and normal life.

The graffiti appeared on the walls of the technical school and the garages of the parallel university in the northern part of the city.

Among the messages are: “We want peace,” “We want to learn,” and “We want a normal life.” Another slogan with a political undertone reads: “We won’t give you Serbia.”

According to Klan Kosova, these messages emerged just one day before the start of the new school year, placing students face-to-face with the calls for peace as they returned to classrooms.

This development follows the removal of previous graffiti that carried chauvinistic and nationalist content, which had dominated the city’s walls only days earlier.
