The new KFOR commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, has arrived in Kosovo and will officially assume his duties on October 11. Barduani will be the fourteenth Italian to lead NATO’s mission in Kosovo.
He was “warmly welcomed” by the Italian ambassador to Kosovo, Antonello De Riu.
The Italian embassy in Kosovo announced his arrival.
“Ambassador De Riu warmly welcomed the new KFOR commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, who will officially take command on October 11. This marks the fourteenth time that the NATO mission has been led by an Italian, reaffirming our unwavering commitment to security in Kosovo.”
