New report published: Kosovo is the happiest country in Southeast Europe

According to the latest edition of the World Happiness Report, the three happiest countries in the world are: Finland, Iceland, and Denmark.

Finland has been ranked as the country with the happiest population in the world for the ninth consecutive year, according to the World Happiness Report published today.

The Nordic countries continue to dominate the ranking: Iceland, Denmark, and Sweden are also in the top five.

Costa Rica is the only non-Nordic country among the leaders, ranking fourth.

Norway, Netherlands, Israel, Luxembourg, and Switzerland round out the top ten, occupying positions six through ten, writes Indeksonline.

Among Southeast European countries, Kosovo ranks the highest, in 16th place.

Germanynd last year, placing it ahead of Austria, which fell two spots to 19th. The United States moved slightly up to 23rd from 24th last year.

The list includes 147 countries, with Afghanistan.
