The 2025/2026 academic year officially starts tomorrow across all schools in Kosovo. Speaking on preparations, Acting Minister of Education Arbërie Nagavci confirmed that all necessary measures have been completed to ensure a smooth start to the school year.

Tomorrow, for the first time, first-grade students will take their seats in classrooms, embarking on their journey into the world of learning.

The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MASHT) stated that everything is ready for a successful educational process.

“As the Ministry of Education, we have made all the necessary preparations for the successful start of the school year, and reports from municipalities indicate that preparations are progressing well,” said Minister Nagavci.

Regarding textbook subsidies, Nagavci highlighted that the first payments have already been made:

“Over 180,000 parents or guardians have applied for textbook support. So far, more than 70% of payments, totaling over €9 million, have been completed,” she told RTK.

She emphasized that the application process remains open to ensure all students are included, so that no child is left without textbooks and learning materials for the new school year.
