Prishtina, July 22, 2025 — The next court session in the “Banjska” case is set to take place tomorrow, beginning at 09:30 at the Palace of Justice in Prishtina.
The hearing involves the defendants Blagoje Spasojević, Vladimir Tolić, and Dušan Maksimović, all of whom stand accused of participating in the September 24, 2023 terrorist attack in the village of Banjska, in the municipality of Zvečan.
So far, several police officers who took part in the counter-operation in Banjska have provided testimony.
The defendants face serious charges related to the deadly ambush against the Kosovo Police, during which Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed and several other officers were injured.
The case remains one of the most high-profile trials linked to Serbia-backed paramilitary activity in Kosovo since the war ended, and it is seen as a key test of Kosovo’s ability to prosecute cross-border terrorism and ensure justice.
