Neymar has announced that he plans to retire from professional football.
The Brazilian forward aims to participate in the upcoming FIFA World Cup before retiring at the end of the year. In a recent interview, the 34-year-old indicated that his final appearance in active football could come in December 2025.
“I don’t know what will happen next year. It’s possible that in December I will want to retire.
I wanted to return fully fit this season, which is why I missed some matches. This is an important year, not only for Santos but also for the Brazilian national team and for me, with the World Cup,” Neymar said.
