Political parties in Kosovo continue their campaigns for the local elections, now in the ninth day, holding rallies and meetings with citizens to present their programs for four-year municipal governance.
For the October 12 municipal elections, a total of 93 political entities are certified: 32 political parties, 2 coalitions, 32 civic initiatives, and 27 independent candidates. In total, there are 5,626 candidates, including 206 mayoral candidates and 5,420 candidates for municipal assemblies.
Below is the agenda of major political parties for the day:
Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK)
- 13:00 – Press conference by Secretary-General Vlora Çitaku, at PDK Central Headquarters, Pristina.
- 19:00 – Meeting with citizens of Gadime e Epërme, candidate for Lipjan mayor Shukri Buja, at Zenel Hajdini School.
Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK)
- 17:00 – Kaçanik, at the Cultural Center “Xheladin Kurtaj”.
- 18:00 – Hani i Elezit, at the square near Cultural Center “Imri Curri”.
- 19:30 – Pristina, Branch III, at the courtyard of “Ismail Qemali” Primary School.
Vetëvendosje (LVV)
- Prime Minister Albin Kurti participates in multiple events across Han i Elezit, Kaçanik, and Ferizaj:
- 13:00 – Rally with residents, Park ‘Isa Berisha’, Han i Elezit.
- 15:00 – Youth meeting at Lizz Café, Mitrovica Mall, Mitrovica.
