Arbëreshë Krasniqi, a Member of Parliament from NISMA Socialdemokrate, has responded to comments made by Daut Haradinaj, Vice President of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), regarding parliamentary alliances.

Haradinaj’s Statement

Haradinaj recently stated on a television program that he would not have wanted to appear on an electoral list with NISMA leader Fatmir Limaj. While he acknowledged Limaj’s contribution during the war, he expressed frustration that Limaj did not communicate with AAK regarding his decision to collaborate with Albin Kurti.

“We had no problem, but the issue was that he did not communicate with us before taking a direction towards Kurti. I would not have wanted to be on a list with Fatmir Limaj,” Haradinaj said.

NISMA’s Response

In response, Arbëreshë Krasniqi emphasized that AAK’s current presence in the Kosovo Parliament is largely due to Fatmir Limaj’s efforts and NISMA’s votes. She described Haradinaj’s comments as inaccurate and inappropriate.

“I see these statements as incorrect in relation to NISMA and Fatmir Limaj. As a result of Limaj’s contribution, AAK is in Parliament, and they should be very careful with such statements,” Krasniqi told Front Online.

Krasniqi’s remarks underline the continued political influence of Fatmir Limaj and the pivotal role of NISMA in shaping Kosovo’s parliamentary landscape.
