Xhevahire Izmaku, a Member of Parliament for the Social Democratic Initiative (NISMA), has announced that a meeting between NISMA leader Fatmir Limaj and the acting Prime Minister and leader of Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, is expected to take place this weekend.

Speaking on Tëvë1, Izmaku stated that the meeting will be held at Limaj’s invitation, and she expressed optimism for a positive outcome. “I believe it will be on the weekend, I am not sure if it will be exactly on Saturday or Sunday, but certainly by the weekend we will have a meeting between the acting prime minister and our leader Limaj. This time at Limaj’s request, and I believe we will have a positive outcome,” Izmaku said.

No Change in Stances, Focus on Solutions

When asked if there had been any change in the positions of Vetëvendosje or NISMA, Izmaku denied it, emphasizing that there had been no withdrawals or concessions, but rather an effort to find a solution.

“I want to see more of a strengthening of efforts to have something positive, and I would not say any withdrawal or any concession; otherwise, we are still on the runway for the start of discussions,” she stated, indicating that the parties are still in the preliminary stages of negotiations.
