Prime Minister and Vetëvendosje leader Albin Kurti is set to meet on Monday with the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) leader Lumir Abdixhiku to discuss the presidential issue, Gazeta Express has learned.

Today, Kurti met for the second time in the Assembly with Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) leader Bedri Hamza.

After the meeting, it was announced that no agreement had been reached.

Hamza stated that the PDK offered “one last chance to avoid new elections” and requested that the country’s president be someone proposed by his party.

Kurti, meanwhile, said after the meeting that “when a consensual proposal is not possible, we will have party-based proposals” for president.
