The Assembly of Kosovo failed to vote on the constitutional amendments that would enable the direct election of the president by the people, after the session was interrupted due to a lack of quorum.

During the session, only 93 members of parliament were present in the chamber, which was insufficient to proceed with the vote on the proposed amendments.

The constitutional changes were proposed by President Vjosa Osmani, aiming to shift the presidential election process from parliamentary voting to a direct vote by citizens.

Following the failed vote during the session held after 20:00, lawmakers announced that the Assembly will reconvene later in the evening in another attempt to address the proposed constitutional changes.

The next parliamentary session has been scheduled for 22:00 tonight.
