North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has banned the consumption of hot dogs in the country, labeling it an act of treason, according to DailyMail.
He claims that this fast food, popular worldwide, is part of Western cuisine and asserts that “serving it will be considered a betrayal of the state.”
Hot dogs, a globally famous fast food, are now prohibited.
Anyone caught serving or preparing hot dogs risks being sent to labor camps.
Additionally, the North Korean leader has also banned budae jjigae, a Korean-American dish made with meat broth, noodles with spicy sauce, beans, and sausage. This dish was imported from South Korea in 2017.
This bizarre decision is part of the regime’s ongoing efforts to suppress what is considered “decadent capitalist culture.”
Kim Jong-Un has also ordered that divorces between couples be punished with hard labor. He has stated that those who choose to separate will be “sent to labor camps to pay the ultimate price for their crime.”
The dissolution of marriages is now considered an “antisocial act.”
