North Korea has criticized President Donald Trump’s proposal for the U.S. to take control of the Gaza Strip, calling it an empty threat that extinguishes any hopes of peace for the Palestinians. The statement was issued by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) today.
Trump had recently stated that the U.S. intends to resettle Gaza’s population and transform the region into a “Middle East Riviera,” a suggestion that has sparked international controversy.
In addition to condemning the Gaza plan, North Korea also criticized Washington’s announcements about the Panama Canal, Greenland, and its decision to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
Pjongyang warned that the U.S. must cease violating the dignity and sovereignty of other nations and peoples, urging a halt to such aggressive actions.
