North Macedonia Local Elections: Around 40% Voter Turnout by 5 PM

By 5:00 PM, more than 673,052 voters had cast their ballots in today’s local elections in North Macedonia, representing 39.61% of eligible voters.

These figures were announced during a press conference held by the State Election Commission (SEC) in Skopje.

“So far, no irregularities have been reported, and every citizen has been able to exercise their right to vote,” said Admir Shabani, spokesperson for the SEC.

Today, North Macedonia is holding regular elections for mayors and municipal assembly members.

Polling stations are scheduled to close at 7:00 PM, and according to the SEC, there have been no requests to extend voting hours so far.
