North Macedonia’s Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, held talks with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte regarding the tragic fire at the “Puls” nightclub in Kočani, which has claimed at least 59 lives.

The discussion focused on the possibility of activating NATO’s disaster management system to aid the over 150 injured victims.

In an official statement, Mickoski emphasized the importance of unity and strength in facing the aftermath of the tragedy. He also reaffirmed North Macedonia’s commitment to fighting corruption, reforming the system, and ensuring accountability for the causes of the incident.
