North Mitrovica Municipality has removed the terrace of the “Grey” café, located in Car Lazar Square near the offices of the Serb List party. The café was owned by Milan Radoičić, a fugitive wanted for the September 2023 terrorist attack in Banjska.
According to Visar Syla, Chief of Staff to Mayor Erden Atiq, the goal of the action carried out on August 13, 2025, was to free public spaces for citizens. The area is now open for public use.
The removal follows a series of property seizures linked to Radoičić. On April 4, 2024, the Kosovo Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets (AAPSK) confiscated the “Grey” café and an apartment on the sixth floor of the same building. The operation continued the next day, targeting other properties belonging to him.
Milan Radoičić, former Vice President of the Serb List, is on INTERPOL’s wanted list for multiple criminal charges, including terrorism, serious offenses against Kosovo’s constitutional order and security, and money laundering.
He publicly admitted to leading the armed group responsible for the Banjska attack on September 24, 2023, during which a Kosovo Police patrol was ambushed with explosives. The attack resulted in the death of Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku, the injury of one officer, and wounding of another.
INTERPOL’s arrest warrant for Radoičić is based on two rulings from the Pristina Court, which formally list him as a wanted person in Kosovo since October 6, 2023.
