North Macedonia’s FM Mucunski in Paris: Boosting Bilateral Ties and EU Integration Support

During his working visit to Paris, North Macedonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Timčo Mucunski, held separate meetings with Senator Marta de Cidrac, President of the Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group between France and the Western Balkans, and Bertrand Biswalter, Advisor to French President Emmanuel Macron for Continental Europe and Turkey.

At the meeting in the French Senate, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in building stable and comprehensive relations between the two countries was emphasized. Discussions covered North Macedonia’s and the region’s European perspective, along with opportunities to promote parliamentary cooperation and deepen political and economic ties. Particular emphasis was placed on France’s continued support for North Macedonia’s European integration.

During the meeting with advisor Biswalter, the Ministry highlighted that issues of common interest were raised, including current geopolitical challenges in Europe, the significance of regional cooperation, North Macedonia’s partnership and contribution within the NATO Alliance, and the further strengthening of cooperation in the context of European and regional stability.
