Data for February 2025 shows that the number of beneficiaries of the KLA war veterans pension has reached 37,161. Compared to the same month last year, this number has increased by 211 people, from 36,950 in February 2024.
According to the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, compared to the previous year, the number of pension beneficiaries has risen by 211 people from 36,950 in February 2024.
The highest number of pension beneficiaries is recorded in the municipality of Deçan, with a total of 4,018 people. This is followed by the municipality of Peja with 3,809 and the municipality of Gjakova with 3,365 beneficiaries. Other municipalities have lower numbers of beneficiaries, while outside the territory of Kosovo, a total of 388 beneficiaries are registered.
It is also reported that in three municipalities—Zubin Potok, Mamushë, and Graçanica—there is only one pension beneficiary each.
Regarding age, about half of all veterans are aged between 46 and 55 years (17,630 people), followed by those aged 56 to 65 years (10,251), while 4,971 are over 65 years old. Additionally, 4,289 beneficiaries are aged 36 to 45 years.
For the majority of beneficiaries, over 90%, or 33,546, are male, while 3,615 are female.
In terms of category, 34,473 are KLA veterans, while 2,688 are family members of veterans who receive benefits after the death of a relative.
